Is there any faster way of getting an order processed?
In many cases it is possible to assist with urgent orders but you will need to follow the following instructions:- Place the order online - use the bulk order lister for complex orders. Telephone orders have to be re-typed and will only happen when staff are available. This time could be better spent picking and packing your order.
- UK orders need to choose courier delivery, customers outside of the UK will need to select Airmail.
- E Mail us with the deadline date and time enclosing your contact mobile number, and a set of standing instructions on how we should proceed should any of your chosen products not be available. i.e substitute choices, cancel the whole order, only cancel part order, or should we inform before proceeding any further.
- We will confirm receipt of your deadline and let you know immediately if the deadline is not possible and or if any additional costs may be incurred in completing the order within your time frame - i.e Express deliveries, Saturday deliveries or handling charges etc.
- Once you have paid the additional costs (if any), we will then dispatch, and confirm via e-mail / SMS the tracking number, delivery due date and time.
- Can you send product samples?
-
We can supply material samples if needed, but we do not send whole product samples. Our products are, in our opinion, the best value and quality available in the UK today. If you disagree you are of course welcome to return items as per our returns policy.
- Why are different materials used for economy and outdoor flags?
-
Flags are used in a variety of different settings. Some flags are used for prolonged periods outdoors while others are used for indoor display. We supply flags made out of various materials including: 75 denier polyester, Rayon (cellulose fibre), 200 denier nylon, 115gsm knitted polyester and 155gsm woven polyester.
75 denier polyester - this material is economical yet attractive. Flags made form this material are excellent for indoor use or for temporary use where economy is important. Unless otherwise specified this material is not UV resilient and will fade quite quickly if left in sunlight. Most of our economy flags, hand wavers, bunting and table flags are made from this material.
Rayon - Often called Art silk, this material has an attractive sheen and is used for our deluxe range of table flags. Being soft and supple it lends itself nicely to light stitching and furls naturally around the flag pin.
200 denier nylon - is the most durable and serviceable option for outdoor use. Nylon retains color well, flies nicely in a light breeze, dries well, and is easily cleaned. Bringing a balance between cost and quality of product we would recommend this material for garden flags, collectors, and frequent flying.
115gsm knitted polyester - is a substantial material ideally suited to digital printing. The material is made to MOD specifications and is at the higher end of the price scale. Due to the weight of the fabric larger flags made from this fabric require a little more wind to get them to fly. We would recommend this material for custom flags and complex designs.
155gsm woven polyester is a premium material that holds up well in most outdoor conditions. The material is made to MOD specifications and is at the higher end of the price scale. Our finest luxury sewn flags are made from this material and we would recommend this material for formal occasions.
- Can I place an order over the phone?
-

Schedule 1 Class H of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007 states that you can fly: national flags, the flags of the Commonwealth, the European Union, the United Nations, English counties and under some circumstances the flags of the saints can be flown without the express consent of local authorities as long as they satisfy the standard conditions for the display of advertisements.
For saints' flags, the conditions are that they can only be flown in the county with which the saint is associated.
If any of the flags listed above are to be flown no further planning permission is needed for the flag pole, however it may be required if other flags are to be flown.
Please note separate laws apply in Northern Ireland and Scotland. Please contact your local government for advise.
All custom flags, fun flags and historical flags would require planning permission if flown outside. In all cases it is advisable to contact your local council for clarity and to avoid potential issues before raising a flag or pole.
Hardly a flag in our range can go unchallenged by one or more persons claiming offense. Our own Queen’s flag; The Union Flag is itself used as a symbol of a far-right political party. Combine this with colonial history and you could see why a number of people would find this offensive.
There is no doubt that there are those that abhor the flags of England, Wales, Scotland and the various flags throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.
No matter what the design flags are strong and potent symbols used by many to justify passion for and, or against a particular belief whether right or wrong in your eyes.
It is our firm belief that everybody has the simple freedom to choose. A flag is merely a piece of cloth. It doesn't hold political or religious views. This is why we believe the flags themselves are not offensive, even if the beliefs and actions of those who rally to them maybe.
We operate strictly within the current UK laws and do not sell prohibited materials.
It is our view that education is the only way to avoid atrocities of the past. Visual aids are critical to providing educational reference or theatrical impact. Right or wrong, a display containing the 1940’s flags of the UK, USA (48 Star), USSR and a Japanese Naval ensign creates a massive impact in a history class.
