Cotton 13 Star US Flag (1777-1795) - The Betsy Ross
Made from 100% cotton bunting each US flag has sewn stripes and embroidered stars, a strong canvas header, two brass eyelets and double stitched seams. The fly end has four rows of stitching for added strength and durability.
While we label these cotton flags as indoor quality they will be quite happy flying outdoors in fine weather. The weight of the flag does require a substantial pole in a strong foundation. If the flag gets wet care should be taken to dry thoroughly to avoid mildew in storage.
The texture of the cotton bunting makes these flags very popular with restaurants, interior designers, and historical re-enactment groups.
The 13 star flag of the USA (1777-1795) 'The Betsy Ross' is 13 horizontal stripes of alternating red and white with 13 stars in a circle on a blue field. All of the stars face outward said to represent a new constellation. This was the first flag of the United States. Popular legend states it was created by Betsy Ross.
